May 25th – Flagging of Eglington Cemetery
– The American Legion could use help putting American Flags on the veteran graves @ Eglington Cemetery on May 25th,starting @ 9:00 am. A honor guard ceremony will start the day. We should be done by about noon. Food and drink will be furnished.
May 25th – Wildwood – Night of Honor at Vietnam Wall –
The City of Wildwood, NJ will be hosting a Night of Honor for our veterans at the Vietnam Memorial Wall across from the Convention Center. There will be several veterans groups participating.There will be a placing of crosses across the street from the Vietnam Memorial Wall, to honor our fallen heroes. We will be rallying the motorcycles at the Lowes Shopping Center at Rt 9 & 47 in Rio Grande, NJ on the Wawa side at 5:00 pm and will be part of multiple groups. Please bring your 3×5 American flags and be prepared to stand a flag line to honor all of our veterans

May 26th WIA/KIA 5K Run/Walk
The WIA-KIA (Wounded In Action – Killed In Action) 5K Run and Family Walk is a fundraising event brought about through the combined efforts of Marlton Assembly of God Church and the Medford Returning Veterans Committee. All proceeds benefit veterans, their families and various veteran causes.The race is open to runners, walkers, adults, children, special needs individuals, families, teams, corporations, and anyone interested in participating.The annual WIA-KIA 5K Run and Family Walk, which is held in Medford, NJ at Freedom Park, has grown dramatically since the first event, which had 50 participants. The following year, 400 people came out to the event, and last year we had over 1,000 participants. This wonderful event, attended by celebrity guests, sponsors, Black Hawk crew, runners and walkers, helps to celebrate the lives of all our fallen heroes. More info http://www.wiakia.org/

Dedication of the Veterans Cemetery at Harleigh, Collingswood / Camden, NJ. 11am. Enter at Kaighn Ave entrance. (parking at the elementary school, with golf carts for those who need a ride). Keynote Speaker is Admiral William J. Fallon (retired). Admiral Fallon is a South Jersey native. Please come on out, bring your family, friends, neighbors, grandchildren, fellow Military and Veterans group members. ALL are welcome!

Salem County NJ Memorial Day Ceremony at the Salem County War Veterans Cemetery in Pilesgrove NJ. This year we will be flying 55 Flags that draped the caskets of our Fallen Heroes interred here. These Flags were donated by the families our our heroes, many of whom will be in attendance. This year’s honored speaker will be Gwen Parris Atwell, an Air Force Nurse, who served in Iraq caring for our wounded heroes, as well as in Ramstein, Germany and at Hickam AFB during these current conflicts. She’s quite a lady! The ceremony starts at noon
May 28th – Bridesburg Memorial Day Parade. 10:00am Richmond & Juniata Sts.
May 28th – Millville Memorial Day Parade.
9 a.m. and will proceed down Veteran’s Way to High Street. The parade will continue south on High Street to Main Street, then west on Main Street to Mount Pleasant Cemetery. There will be a pause at the Maurice River Bridge for a naval service. The parade will line up at 8:15 a.m. between the Millville Public Library and the Nabb-Leslie American Legion Post 82 on Buck Street. Robert W. Looby, former commander of the New Jersey American Legion will serve as the parade marshall and keynote speaker.
