Kerns, 21, died in the crash of an MV-22 Osprey during a military training mission in Morocco on Wednesday, Kerns was a MV-22 crew chief with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 261, Marine Aircraft Group 26MV-22 based at New River Air Station in North Carolina. A Marine spokesman said that the Osprey crashed in a training area southwest of Agadir, Morocco, after taking off from the amphibious assault ship. Another crew member was also killed. Lance Cpl. Jeremy Kane was a student at Rutgers-Camden studying Criminal Justice and Political Science. He had joined the Marine Reservists on September 11, 2006 because "he felt that every American had the duty to give back to his country." When his Reserve Unit was activated for deployment, Jeremy was hesitant leaving his mother behind, as Jeremy's Father recently passed away from stomach cancer. Shedding his reluctance, Jeremy Kane deployed with enthusiasm because he knew it was the right thing to do. For this, Jeremy Kane made the ultimate sacrifice for his family, and country. Ilbert, WV – Harley David Harless was born November 2, 1949. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam, returning home in 1969. He served with the 1st Brigade, 50th infantry – the Short Range Ambush Patrol. Jack Noble, a former comrade, remembers Harley as a great guy and excellent soldier – Harley was the RTO for his platoon. B-17 Bomber the Aluminum Overcast The Experimental Aircraft Association’s WWII warplane is one of only 13 still flying. Aug 29 - 30 Three POW/MIA Vietnam Vets Remains to be laid to Rest ARLINGTON VA. On 3 November 1969 "Recon Team Maryland" from MACV-SOG, CCN, was inserted in Laos on a recon mission. The team consisted of Gunther Wald, Bill Brown and Don Shue. The team came under heavy attack and all were mortally wounded. By the time a Bright Light team went in delayed by bad weather all that was found was some web gear. In 2009 a farmer in Laos discovered some remain that were determined by JPAC to be those of Wald, Brown and Shue. Brown and Shue were identified early, returned and buried with full honors. George Notte May 14th, 1934 - September 1st, 2012 Obituary: George Notte of Willingboro died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at Lourdes Hospital in Willingboro. He was 78. Mr. Notte was born in Philadelphia and attended St. Ludwigs School, and was a graduate of Roman Catholic High School. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Medical Corps of the 82nd Airborne from Fort Bragg during the Korean War. He was then employed as a rigger at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. For many years Mr. Notte was the Maintenance Supervisor at the Corpus Christi School in Willingboro under Msgr. Bogdan. Torches Across America 9 11 Memorial Motorcycle Ride The ride starts at Holland Hotel in Jersey City. Motorcycles go out at 7:00 am. The ride will go to New York and Pennsylvania to Honor the heroes of 9 - 11. There is no registration fees. Riders pay for their own expenses. The ride is for all makes models of motorcycles. participants may ride the whole trip or just through your state, a few miles, or whatever you feel to show your support. Born in Toms River, Chris spent most of his life in Ocean Gate, and most recently lived in Island Heights before his deployment. After graduation, Chris joined the U.S. Marine Corp. The law that enacted the Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP) was signed on November 21, 2011 giving up to 99,000 unemployed Veterans who do not have any VA educational benefits an additional 12 months of Montgomery GI Bill benefits ($1,564/month) for training towards a high demand occupation. We began accepting applications on May 15, 2012, less than 6 months after enactment.  Every Veteran who is given a Certificate of Eligibility is contacted by our partners in the Department of Labor to assist them with their employment goals. As of late this week, we have received over 94,000 applications, and have approved 77,000 Certificates of Eligibility - all good news.  However, just over 27,000 of those eligible have begun using their benefit.  I have two 'asks'. He was stationed at Bethesda Military Hospital his first 3 years and last April was transferred to Camp Lejeune where he completed his FMTB training.

The Four Chaplains, also sometimes referred to as the "Immortal Chaplains," were four United States Army chaplains who gave their lives to save other civilian and military personnel during the sinking of the troop ship USAT Dorchester on February 3, 1943, during World War II. After graduating from High School in June 2012, he entered Basic Training. Christopher graduated as a Private First Class on November 16th. Before leaving for Marine Combat Training, he returned home to Kendall Parkfor a 10 day leave. On November 25th, Christopher suffered a stroke and it was discovered that he had a fatally enlarged heart and was in heart failure.
