There are plenty of Veterans Day free meals to be had this year. You’ll be able to stop into any of the restaurants below on or around Veterans Day this year to get your free meal. More may be added in the upcoming days…so be sure to check back.

Tip: Pay close attention to the date listed and what you need to bring so you qualify for the free meal. They don’t all take place on Veterans Day (Sunday, November 11, 2012 but observed on Monday, November 12, 2012) and some require different forms of identification.

Tip: Some of these Veterans Day free meals are nationwide but some are only at participating locations. Please call the restaurant you plan on visiting before you leave home to make sure they are taking part.


Golden Corral Veterans Day Free Meal
On Monday, November 12, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Golden Corral will be giving out Veterans Day free meals to any person who has ever served in the U.S. military or is on current active duty.

All Golden Corral locations will be participating and no identification is required to get your free meal.

Last year, Golden Corral served over 375,000 veterans a Veterans Day free meal!


Applebee’s Veterans Day Free Meal
Stop into a participating Applebee’s on Sunday, November 11, 2012 to get your Veterans day free meal. You’ll be able to choose a meal from a limited Veteran’s Day menu that includes steak, cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, salad, pasta, chicken, and shrimp. You can see the complete menu by using the link above. This deal is dine-in only and beverages and gratuity are not included.

You’ll need to bring in one proof of military service such as a U.S. Uniform Service ID card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID card, current Leave and Earnings statement, photograph in uniform, be wearing your uniform, a veterans organization card such as American Legion or VFW, or a DD214.

Denny’s Veterans Day All You Can Eat Pancakes
Stop by Denny’s on Monday, November 12, 2012 and all active, non-active, and retired military personnel can get free all you can eat pancakes from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

All Denny’s are participating in this promotion and you’ll just need to bring a valid military ID along with you.


T.G.I. Friday’s Veterans Day Free Lunch
T.G.I. Friday’s will be having free lunch for all veterans on Monday, November 12, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at participating locations. Be sure to contact your local T.G.I Friday’s for details.

Bring in proof of military service (U.S. Uniforms Services ID Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID Card, a Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, a DD214, a photograph in uniform, or wear your uniform) and you’ll be able to choose any item off the lunch menu for free.


Chili’s Veterans Day Free Meal
Visit Chili’s on Sunday, November 11, 2012, to get your Veterans Day free meal if you are a veteran or on active military duty. You’ll get to choose between these free meals, valid on dine in only:

– OldTimer with Cheese
– Chicken Crispers
– Margarita Chicken
– Classic Turkey Sandwich (Full)
– Lighter Choices Grilled Chicken Salad
– Soup & Salad (this does not include the Bottomless Express Lunch)

California Pizza Kitchen is having a Veterans Day free meal as well and both veterans and those in active military duty can take advantage.

Stop by your local California Pizza Kitchen on Sunday, November 11, 2012 or Monday, November 12, 2012 and you can get a free pizza and non-alcoholic beverage when you dine-in.

You’ll need come in uniform or bring your military ID or another proof of service.

Outback Steakhouse Free Bloomin’ Onion
Stop into any Outback Steakhouse on November 11-12, 2012 to get a free Bloomin’ Onion and Coca-Cola product. This offer is for veterans as well as active duty military.

You’ll need to bring in one ID such as a U.S. Uniform Services ID card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID card, current Leave and Earnings statement, DD form 214, a veterans organization card, a photograph of you in uniform, or you can wear your uniform to get your free Veterans Day meal.

Outback Steakhouse is also giving out a military discount of 10% off the total check November 13 to December 31, 2012.

McCormick & Schmick’s Veterans Day Free Meal
You can stop into a participating McCormick & Schmick’s on Sunday, November 11, 2012 to get your Veterans Day free meal. Your free lunch or dinner entree will be from a limited menu and reservations are recommended.

Bring in a form of identification such as your VA card, VFW card, American Legion card, discharge papers, DD214, or other veteran’s ID.


Max & Erma’s Veterans Day Free Meal
On Sunday, November 11, 2012 Max & Erma’s will be honoring veterans and active military personnel by giving out a free Best Cheeseburger in America combo which includes choice of Tortilla Soup or side Caesar Salad, a Cheeseburger and french fries, and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies for dessert.

On Monday, November 12, 2012 stop into a participating Little Caesar’s and get a free order of Crazy Bread. I recommend calling ahead to verify that your local Little Caesar’s is participating.

Travel Centers of America Veterans Day Free Meal
This is only for CDL drivers who are also veterans.

On Sunday, November 11, 2012 all CDL drivers who are also military veterans will be able to eat free at 170 participating full service restaurants inside Travel Centers of America. This includes Iron Skillet and Country Pride.

You’ll need to show your commercial driver’s license as well as proof of military service to get your free meal up to a $15 value.
