We were contacted by Lee of Norwich, CT who was seeking some help. 15+ years ago she obtained a set of dog tags belonging to James W. Wilcox, along with an Army ring and key- she can't remember just where - probably at a yard sale in the area. She wanted us to help her find the veteran

Although the veteran, James Wilcox, has passed away, we were happy to find his next of kin - his son Timothy Wilcox - who lived close by as well.

Veteran James Wilcox, born in 1948,  entered the US Army in 1966. After serving in Vietnam, he was a constable for a few years in Old Lyme, a volunteer fireman for 12 years and worked as a mechanic for over 30 years. On January 7, 2018, James W. Wilcox passed away from cancer (Agent Orange) in New London, CT

After making contact with his son, Timothy Wilcox, we made arrangements with CT Patriot Guard Riders to hand deliver the dog tag, Army ring and key to Timothy.

The hand off was done on Saturday, February 13th. Skip (PGR) first stopped by Lee's house to pick up the items and then over to Timothy's house in Norwich.

After 15+ years, James W Wilcox is now home with his family.... Job well done everyone!
