Military Dog Tag of Mark S Tenalio
Joseph Gerstenbacher lived in Pennsauken, NJ most of his life, retiring from the Philadelphia Inquirer as a Pressman and enjoying collecting antiques when he passed away in 2021.
Among his belongings were a handful of military dog tags - his relatives gave them to Camden County Veterans Affairs, who in turn, gave them to Sue Quinn-Morris of the Patriot Connections Dog Tag Project to try and have them reunited with their owners.
One such military dog tag in the bunch is that of Mark S Tenalio - an Air Force veteran who served our country in the 1950s'.
Mark Samuel Tenalio was born on May 24, 1934, in Belmont, Pennsylvania, his father, James, was 48 and his mother, Mary, was 38. He was one of 14 children born to James and Mary.
Mark Samuel Tenalio died 3 APR 2007 in Lake Jackson, TX. We made contact with his eldest son, Michael Tenalio in New York and sent the dog tag to him in May 2023.
