Roger Neal Lippincott of Jobstown, Springfield Township, passed away suddenly Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, at his residence. He was 79.
Born in Mount Holly, Mr. Lippincott was a graduate of Moorestown Friends School and served in the United States Air Force.
He later graduated from General Motors Institute and worked for Bonderchuk Chevrolet before opening Rogers Automotive in Jobstown, which he ran from 1971 to 1989.
Roger was also an assistant chief fire instructor at Burlington County Fire Academy and at one time served as emergency management coordinator for Burlington County.
Roger was also a lifetime member of Springfield Township Fire Company, drove the ambulance for Springfield EMS.
He also enjoyed computers, volunteered with the Boy Scouts as a Scout Master.
Roger is survived by his wife of 57 years, Tedda; two sons, Scott (Kristen) Lippincott and Brian (fiancée Tara Nyul) Lippincott, all of Jobstown; four grandchildren, Kassandra, Abigail, Alexander, and Aaron. He also is survived by his sister, Claire Flowers of Montrose, Colo.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, at the Funeral Home.
