NJ STATE MEMORIAL DAY – The annual State of New Jersey Memorial Day commemoration ceremony will on Saturday, May 24 at 10 a.m. at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover, Burlington County.New Jersey Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno will join Brig. Gen. Michael L. Cunniff, The Adjutant General, in honoring all who have served in the military. The ceremony will include a presentation of memorial wreaths by representatives of more than a dozen veteran and service organizations who will parade to the public assembly area.The cemetery will be a sea of American flags that were placed on the more the 50,000 gravesites by Boy and Girl Scouts the day before

Barnegat Light will hold a Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony in front of the Old Borough Hall. Catch it on May 25th at 6:30pm.
Beachwood hosts Riverfest in Mayo Park on May 26th from 11:30am-3pm. There will be crafters, vendors, antique cars and Veterans at this family-friendly Memorial Day event.
Bedminster – The parade will begin at 10am at the old Bedminster school on the corner of Elm St & Lamington Rd. A parade will follow down Lamington Rd ½ mile to the Far Hills ceremony which will take place at approximately 10:45 at the municipal building on the corner of Prospect St & Peapack Rd. Bellmawr – The Bellmawr Post Office will be hosting a Memorial Day Service on Friday, May 23rd. At 10:30 AM members of the Arlington VA National Cemetery Tomb of the Unknown Solider HONOR GUARD will be drilling. The address of the Bellmawr Post Office is:421 Benigno Blvd., Bellmawr
Bergenfield – Bergenfield’s Mayor and Council has called upon the community to participate in the Memorial Day Events to be held on Monday, May 26, 2014. In the morning at the Borough Hall, the Fire Department will conduct their Service and Inspection at 10:00 a.m., the Veterans Alliance Service will follow at 11:00 a.m., and the Annual Bergenfield Memorial Day Parade at 2:00 p.m. The parade will go on rain or shine. The parade will be staged at South Washington Avenue and travel to Borough Hall. The parade will feature, floats, the Bergenfield High School Marching Band, the R. W. Brown Middle School Band, the Clan Na Vale Pipe Band, Tappan Zee Bridgemen Professional Marching Band, the Waldwick Band, Fusion Core and cars from the Restored Rusty Relics Antique Auto Club. There will also be contingents from local military, civic, patriotic, fraternal, religious, youth, social, school, business and service organizations.
Bradley Beach Parade & Festival – The Annual Memorial Day Parade will start Saturday, May 24th at 10am on Ocean Avenue and Bradley Blvd. The paradxe is the “kick off” for The Memorial Day Weekend Festival held on Saturday, Sunday. and Monday. Camden -Battleship NJ – Memorial Day and Naturalization Ceremony on the forecastle (forward deck) of the Battleship at 10am on Monday, May 26, Memorial Day. The US Department of Immigration will swear in over 30 new citizens to our country, and the Bishop Eustace Knights of Columbus will conduct a wreath ceremony to remember all our military brethren who gave the ultimate sacrifice. CLAYTON — Monday, May 26th – The annual Memorial Day Parade will begin at 10 a.m. at the Acme parking lot, and will travel north on Delsea Drive to Academy Street, turning right and then ending at the veterans plot at the Cedar Green Cemetery. A service will conclude the parade honoring those who have served
DEPTFORD — Sunday, May 25th – The Deptford Veterans Memorial Park Committee will host its annual Memorial Day Parade, ceremony and barbecue. The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. at the Buddy Powell Memorial on 525 College Blvd., in Wenonah.At 11:45 a.m., the parade will begin at the Oak Valley Firehouse at 595 Princeton Blvd. and will continue down Princeton Boulevard, up University Boulevard and enter the Veteran’s Memorial Park.

EAST GREENWICH — Friday, May 23rd – Flags will be placed on veterans’ graves at Eglington Cemetery. They will be placed beginning at 10 a.m. There will be ROTC cadets in attendance, as well as volunteers

Elmer – The annual Elmer Memorial Day parade is scheduled for Monday, May 26 starting at 10am. The Parade route runs from South Main St to North Main St. Starting lineup will be on Salem Street, and participants must be at the lineup by 9:30am. Following the parade, the Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at 11am at Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Freehold – The 140th Freehold Memorial Day Parade will be held Monday, May 26th. The parade kicks off at Brinckerhoff and Main Streets at 10 am. The Freehold Memorial Day Parade is the oldest and largest such parade in Western Monmouth County, with an average of more than 70 units participating each year. The parade features many military units, veterans groups, bands, fire departments, EMS squads, youth groups, custom designed floats and civilian units.
Frenchtown Memorial Day Parade, Monday, May 26, 2014, Frenchtown: The Frenchtown Memorial Day Parade is a small town tradition that locals say hasn’t changed “since the beginning of time”. The event starts with a patriotic ceremony at the American Legion on Sixth Street. The ceremony features a 21 gun salate, a flag raising, short speeches from from town officials and bands. The parade is one huge deal for such a small town. The parade starts lining up in front of the American Legion on Harrison Street and Sixth Street and proceeds to Bridge Street.
GLASSBORO– Glassboro’s annual “Best of Gloucester County” Memorial Day Parade will be held Monday, May 26 at 10:00 a.m. The parade begins at the intersection of Lehigh Road and University Boulevard, proceeding onto High Street toward Borough Hall.
The parade’s Grand Marshall is WWII Navy veteran Sylvia Brugger, 91, of Pitman. This year, the parade features more than 10 bands, including the award-winning Quaker City String Band, and local favorite Bonsal Blues Band. The Glassboro High School Band and Pitman’s Original Hobo Band are also among the musical participants.
Gloucester County Memorial Day Service at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery To be held on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at the Cemetery on 240 S. Tuckahoe Road Monroe Twp, NJ 08094. Begins at 1 pm. Wreaths will be placed to honor soldiers. The hour-long ceremony will conclude with a rifle salute and Taps being played.A World War II veterans monument and Fleet Reserve Association monument will be dedicated along Memorial Walk. The ceremony will be held rain or shine. Anyone interested should bring lawn chairs and arrive early.
Hackettstown – Annual Memorial Parade on Monday, May 26, 2014 will kicking off at 9:30 am. The parade begins near the post office on Washington Street and continues to Grand Avenue and Main Street and ends at Union Cemetery on Mountain Avenue. (908) 850-5004
Hamilton Township – Parsade strts at 10:30am at Nottingham Way at Shady Lane and continuing to Nottingham Way Firehouse on Mercer Street (route travels down some neighborhood streets towards back entrance of the Firehouse) –
HARRISON TOWNSHIP —Monday, May 26th – At 9 a.m., the Mullica Hill Baptist Church on Main Street will hold a short ceremony and rifle salute. At 9:15, there will be a wreath-laying and rifle salute at old town hall on South Main Street. At the township’s William Wilt Soccer Complex at 9:30 a.m., there will be a wreath laying and rifle salute. Officials will dedicate 13 paver stones in honor of township residents who served in the military. At 10 a.m. at Richwood Methodist Church, a chaplain will hold a short ceremony in addition to a wreath laying, flag raising and rifle salute
Hasbrouck Heights – The Parade tarts at 10 a.m. at Williams and runs along Terrace Avenue. Service a Veterans Park (Terrace & Passic Avenue) follows. Firemans Memorial Service follows at Circle
Hanover Township – Parade will strat at 9:30 AM at Whippany High School and end at American Legion Post 155 The Slattery detachment has the lead this year and also selects the Guest speaker and Grand Marshall. Past Commandant John Andrews will be the Guest speaker. Grand Marshall will be Member Jim Salerno a 95 yrs old resident of Cedar Knolls and recipient of the Silver Star for action at Iwo Jima. Hillsborough – Thye Memorial Day Parade will occur on Saturday, May 24, 2014 @ 10:30 am. The parade rorute will begin on New Amwell Road to Beekman Lane to Municipal Building. There will be a Ceremony following the parade
Holmdel – Vietnam Veterans Memorial Day Ceremony, Monday, May 26, 2014, Holmdel: Join New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation for the annual Memorial Day Ceremony. Keynote speaker at this year’s ceremony is Major General (Ret) and Chairman of the Board, Clark Martin. The ceremony will also include the presentation of two scholarships to NewJersey high school seniors and the induction of four Vietnam Veterans into the “In Memory” Program
Hopewell Borough – Memorial Day Parade takes place on Sunday, May 25, beginning @ 1pm and will be marching east on Broad Street.
Jackson – It’s the 55th Annual Jackson Memorial Day Parade on Don Connor Blvd. The parade begins at 10am on May 26th. After the parade, the Jackson VFW Post hosts a picnic with a BBQ and refreshments.
Lacey – Memorial Day parade by Town Hall at 10am on May 26th.
Lavallette hosts a May 26th Memorial Day Service for Veterans at 10am in Memorial Park.
Little Egg Harbor – It is the 36th Annual Little Egg Harbor Memorial Day Parade on Radio Road. Pay Tribute to our Veterans at 10am on May 26th
Livingston – This year’s Memorial Day Parade will start at 9:30am with a ceremonial service at the Oval to commemorate those who have died defending the United States. At 10am after the ceremony, the parade will start on S. Livingston Avenue and will end at Congressional Way. In the event of inclement weather the Ceremonial Service will be held at the LHS Auditorium
MANTUA TOWNSHIP — Memorial Day plans include a parade beginning at the Wenonah Cemetery and will proceed to the Mantua cemetery, and then on to the Mantua Township Municipal Building. The parade begins in Wenonah at 8:45 a.m. There will be a ceremony at the municipal building at 10:30 a.m.
Maplewood – Monday, May 26, 2014. The parade assembles at the Columbia High School Student Parking Lot on West Parker Avenue at 8:00 a.m. Marchers include veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces and members of various community and youth groups which have notified the VFW in advance of their participation. The parade starts at 9 a.m. The parade route is as follows: West Parker Avenue to Maplewood Avenue to Baker Street to Valley Street to Town Hall. A brief memorial ceremony on the steps of town hall is held immediately following the parade.
Metuchen – The parade begins at 10:00 a.m., rain or shine, from Metuchen’s Pearl Street parking lot. It will proceed across Center St., turn right (north) onto Route 27, and right onto Main Street. The parade will continue through the tree-lined streets of beautiful Metuchen and turn right onto High Street and then right again onto Lake Avenue where it will end at Memorial Park with a brief ceremony.
Monroe Twp – Monroe Township will celebrate Memorial Day with a parade and a wreath laying ceremony on Monday, May, 26, 2014. The parade is organized by the United Veterans Council of Monroe Township. The parade starts with a gathering of all the participants at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady Of Peace Parish in Williamstown, located at Main Street and Carol Avenue. The parade starts at about 11:00 a.m. and proceeds north on Main Street to Veteran’s Memorial Park where there will be a ceremony to honor our active military, veterans and our communities fallen heroes. There will be a wreath laying ceremony at the end of the event. The parade will feature marching bands, military vehicles, classic and antique cars and members of the community

NATIONAL PARK —Monday, May 26th – A flag raising, Honor Guard attendance and presenting of wreaths will kick of Memorial Day at 7:30 a.m. The Honor Guard will proceed to the West Deptford veterans monument to present wreaths, then continue to the Colonial Manor firehouse for the parade. The guard will lead the parade to Red Bank Battlefield for wreath ceremonies. The garrison will host an open house until 4 p.m.
New Brunswick – New Brunswick and Highland Park will hold a joint Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 26, 2014. The day begins with a parade at 11:00 a.m. at Monument Square at the corner of Livingston Avenue and George Street. From there the parade will progress up Raritan Avenue to the Doughboy Monument in Highland Park where there will be a short ceremony honoring our American Veterans and our active duty troops overseas. Refreshments will be served at the ceremony. The parade is sponsored by the Veterans Alliance of Raritan Valley, the City of New Brunswick and the Borough of Highland Park. Oakland – The annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony, sponsored by the American Legion and the Borough of Oakland, will be held on Sunday, May 25th, 2014 beginning at 1:00 PM at Grove Street and Ramapo Valley Road. The parade will close with a ceremony in Veterans’ Park. Complimentary food and refreshments will be served at the American Legion Post at 65 Oak Street immediately following the parade.

Princeton – Memorial Day Parade takes place on Saturday May 24th. The parade kicks off at 10am from Princeton Ave and Nassau St , then on to Princeton Boro Hall ending with a ceremony at Boro Hall at 11am.

SWEDESBORO — Monday, May 26th – The borough’s Memorial Day flag service, sponsored by the Greater Swedesboro Business Association, will take place at the Woolwich fire house at 10:30 a.m. Names of living and deceased veterans from the area will be read aloud during the service. To have a name added to the list, as well as to add the names of any Gold Star mothers who will be in attendance, please call Councilwoman Joanna Ghears at 856-467-0756. Toms River – The Memorial Day Parade in Downtown Toms River commences on May 26th at 9am.
Union Beach Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, 2014, Union Beach:The Union Beach Memorial Day celebration will start with a memorial ceremony on the beachfront. There will be a laying of wreath ceremony at 11:00 a.m. at the War Memorial on Florence and Front Streets. Following the ceremony the Memorial Day Parade line up will start at 12:00 p.m. at Borough Hall, located at Poole Avenue and Stone Road. The parade will step off at 1:00 p.m. The route of march is: Poole to Florence Avenue to Front Street to Union Avenue
Ventnor – Ventnor VFW Memorial Day Services VFW Post 3361 – Services for those lost at sea at the Ventnor Fishing Pier on May 26th @9:15 am followed by services at Ventnor City Hall at 9:45 am and final main service for the day at Turner-Bunting-Durkin Ventnor VFW Post 3361 located at 601 N. WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP — Monday, May 26th – The annual memorial will be held at 11 a.m. at Veterans Park, between the high school and the police station. The high school concert band and chorus will perform. The guest speaker will be Lt. Andrew Savicky, of the 177th Fighter Wing.This year, since plaques were not purchased for the wall, all 102 veteran names and branches will be read off. There will also be wreaths presented from the Korean War Veterans, the women veterans, American Legion Post 521, as well as the Veterans Advisory Board.
WENONAH — Monday, May 26th – The Memorial Day parade will begin at 8:45 a.m. at the corner of Marion Street and Mantua Avenue. It will then head west down Mantua Avenue to Wenonah Cemetery for a short ceremony. The parade will continue into Mantua, down Elm Street to the municipal building.The ceremony will be at the Mantua Township Municipal Building at 10:30 a.m
West Windsor Township – Kick-Off Monday at 10:30 a.m. from West Windsor-Plainsboro High School, South Ceremony: 12:00 (Noon) – West Windsor Municipal Complex corner of Clarksville Road and North Post Road.
WESTVILLE — Monday, May 26th – Beginning at 10 a.m. at Thomas West Park on Delsea Drive, there will be a ceremony honoring veterans. There will be a wreath ceremony and representatives from every branch of the armed forces in attendance. After the ceremony, there will be light refreshments, and the ceremony is open to the public.
WOODBURY HEIGHTS — Saturday, May 24th At 11 a.m, there will be a ceremony at the veterans memorial on New Jersey Avenue.
WOODBURY — Sunday, May 25th – In addition to its regular visits to Woodbury’s war memorials, American Legion Post 133 will, along with the city and county, host a candlelight vigil at 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 25, in honor of New Jersey’s POW/MIA troops in Vietnam.The vigil will also include “missing man” and wreath ceremonies, as well as a ringing bell for the name of each missing soldier. It will take place outside the Woodbury American Legion, at 1018 Washington Ave
Woolwich – Friday, May 23rd – Kingsway Regional High School will hold its annual Memorial Day remembrance at 8 a.m. in the school’s gym. The ceremony honors Kingsway graduates who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces, as well as those who have lost their lives. All veterans are welcome to attend. Wyckoff – The parade will start at 11:30 a.m. The parade begins on Wyckoff Avenue at Cornerstone Christian Church. As the participants march out of the Cornerstone Church parking area they turn left onto Wyckoff Ave., continue down Wyckoff Ave. before turning right on Main Street, turn right on Franklin Ave. and end behind Town Hall at the Ambulance Corps building.
