We originally focused on the Vietnam Era but have since moved to recognize all Veterans and POW/MIA’s. There is a second memorial representing present the most recent conflicts. The main task is the placement of flags in a large diamond-like shape. We set-up the outline and the flags are placed inside with a black field in the center representing those still unaccounted for. On Friday starting at 9:00 AM we plant the flags over 60,000. Then on Saturday we play music to our missing brothers and sisters. This year 11 bands starting at noon. We have a motorcycle start from Bristol Township Municipal Building (where our Vietnam Veterans Memorial resides) to the park and we have some presentations and a repatriation ceremony where each new discovered remains in the past year changes a POW MIA flag to a standard US flag and is placed in the larger field.
