Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month

The May 16th presentation at American Legion Post 405, in honor of Asian American and Pacific Islanders Heritage Month, will be about the US Army’s famous 442nd Regimental Combat Team during WWII (‘Go for Broke’). The program will be presented by Post and Union League member Ken Wong, and William Uchimoto, whose father served in the 442nd. There will be memorabilia on display.

Our special guest of honor will be Mr. Arthur Kitagawa, US Army, a veteran of the 442nd, a recipient of the Bronze Star, 2 Purple Hearts, French Legion of Honor and Congressional Gold Medal. He will be accompanied by his daughter and son with their spouses.

All are welcome to attend the program and learn about one of the most highly decorated units of WWII Army service and a surviving member!

Monday, May 16, 2016 starting at 6pm.
