This free online training is sponsored by the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. Many Veterans and their family members seek help for their problems from clergy because they perceive the faith community as a safe and accessible place that provides confidentiality and acceptance. Yet clergy members sometimes have limited knowledge about suicide prevention, military culture, readjustment difficulties and the unique health issues such as post-traumatic stress and moral injury, common to returning Veterans. This event can help prepare you to support them and make your faith community a place Veterans can call home.
