Dear Friend:
Please join us at our Fifth Annual Essex County Veterans Day ceremony, where we will pay tribute to the late Joseph “Joe” Fornarotto, who served as Commander of the Disabled American Veterans, Belleville/Nutley Chapter 22. Joe, a Navy veteran who passed away earlier this year, set the standard for activism on behalf of his beloved “soldiers in arms.” He fought for benefits, he fought for veteran’s rights, and he fought for improvements at Glendale Cemetery, all with the same dedication he fought for our country during World War II.
The program will take place in the Essex County Veterans Memorial Park, which, after opening in 2009, quickly became a place of serenity and solace for residents, students, employees and visitors to the County Government Complex. During the program, we will honor Joe and recognize the tremendous sacrifices that the men and women in the military have made, and continue to make, as they defend our country. It will be held as follows:
Date: Wednesday, November 5, 2014
Time: 11:00 am (promptly)
Place: Essex County Veterans Memorial Park
West Market Street
Newark, NJ
The ceremony will be held RAIN or SHINE.
We look forward to having you join us for this very important and moving event. Please extend this invitation to other members of your organization and, if you are unable to attend, send a representative. Please RSVP by calling Lisa Smith at 973-621-4400 by Monday, November 3rd. Working together, we will continue Putting Essex County First.
Sincerely,
Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr.
