On Monday, April 22 at 11 a.m. US Army Veteran Robert Grala will be laid to rest at the Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery with full Military Honors.
Robert Grala, a US Army veteran who served 1968-70 in Korea, has no known family. The public is encouraged to attend the burial to help honor this veteran as he is laid to rest.
Funeral Service: Monday, April 22nd, 11am at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, 240 Tuckahoe Road, Williamstown, NJ
For those interested in participating in the motorcycle escort of his remains to the funeral, meet at Jackson Funeral Home, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Township, NJ at 9:15am. Departure at 9:45am to proceed to cemetery.
Nearly 50 years after Robert Grala was stationed in Korea with the U.S. Army, the decorated serviceman died alone in Williamstown.
Grala, 70, died in January. He will be buried with full military honors.
He served in Korea from 1968 to 1970 and received the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Army Good Conduct Medal.
The Gloucester County Veterans Advisory Council will pay for the gravesite to be opened and closed. The federal government will provide his headstone, but the setting of the headstone will be funded by the Vets Helping Vets account.
