Obituary for Jerome “Jerry” Mckie
Surrounded by his family, Jerome “Jerry” Mckie , 57, of Pennsville passed away peacefully on March 29, 2019. Jerry was born in Salem, NJ to Scott & Cissie (McLaughlin) Mckie on February 17, 1962. He attended and graduated from the Pennsville Christian Academy in 1980. Jerry joined the U.S. Air Force in 1983 and served until 1987. He most recently worked at the Salem County Correctional Facility. Jerry was a huge Phillies fan, always watching them on TV and collecting their jerseys. He loved going to church, making people laugh and singing! Most of all, he loved his children, grandchildren, family and friends.
Because of his love and passion for the Phils, we urge you to put on your Phillies gear and come out to celebrate Jerry’s life this Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Sharptown UMC! The family will be available starting at 10 AM to greet those who wish to stop by and pay their respects with the service following at 11 AM. Interment will take place following at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery. The family has asked that donations be made in Jerry’s name to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Rd., 2nd Floor, Princeton, NJ 08540
