‘Military History Tour of Philadelphia’
8:30am – assemble at Torresdale Country Club parking lot at Frankford & Grant Ave.
9am – Depart Torresdale for the GAR Museum & Archive
9:15am – arrive at the GAR Museum & Archive for a tour
10:30am – Depart the GAR Museum for lunch at McGillen’s Old Ale Pub), an historic 1860 Pub in continuous use, often by soldiers and the military.
12:30pm – Depart McGillen’s Pub for the Armory Museum.
travel to the ‘Armory Museum’ 1st Regiment Infantry NGP (National Guard of Pennsylvania) 32nd & Lancaster Ave. on Drexel Campus
12:45am – arrive at the ‘Armory Museum’ for a tour
2:30pm – Depart the ‘Armory Museum’ for tour of the 1st City Troop Museum 23rd & Ranstead St
4pm – Depart the 1st City Troop Museum for return to Torresdale
5pm – Arrive back at Torresdale
Cost – $60 per person including: the bus; driver gratuity; Lunch at McGillen’s Pub (alcoholic beverages on own); Donations to each museum; refreshments on board the bus
