Imperatives for Caring Professionals and Faith Community Leaders – Samaritan is honored to host this educational opportunity to increase understanding of the unique needs of Veterans, and extend Veteran-centric care throughout the healthcare continuum. Participants will increase their capacity to serve Veterans, and help increase access to needed services and supports. Topics will include but are not limited to: Moral Injury, PTSD, Suicide Prevention, Mental Health and Palliative Care. Keynote Speaker; Chris J. Antal is staff chaplain at the Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he leads the moral injury group together with Peter Yeomans, a staff psychologist. He served in the Army Chaplain Corps from 2008-2016 and is a Veteran of the U.S. war in Afghanistan.
