Hello Philly 1st Platoon and Friends,
Support Event: Paint Party at The Veterans Group Home
When: May 30th ( two shifts)
Shift 1: 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM
Shift 2: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Free Lunch will be provided at Noon.
Where: The Veterans Group Home 3209 Baring St. Philadelphia, PA 19104
Details: Philly 1st Platoon and members of the community will be improving the surroundings of the 35 veteran homeless residents of the Veterans Group Home. We will be painting the interior walls of the residents’ living space and common areas. There are two opportunities to volunteer on one of two shifts on Saturday May 30th.
Food, music and fun activities will be provided to help make this event a huge success. Please come prepared to have a good time and to paint. Additionally, we are looking for volunteers to help the prep-team on May 29th. Please contact Jose M. Martinez at jmartinez@missioncontinues.org to register for this event.
