The Union League will hold a Formal Black Tie DINING-OUT on December 11, the night before the Army/Navy game classic that will be held at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The guest of honor will be General Carter Ham, US Army (Retired) who previously served as the Commanding General of the U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army from August 28, 2008 to March 8, 2011.

The DINING-Out Ceremony/Dinner can be traced to 16th-century England, though some records indicate that militaries have held DINING-OUTs as far back as the Roman Legions. The Vikings held a formal ceremony DINING-OUT to honor and celebrate battles and heroes.

Reception – 6:00 PM
Dinner 7:00 PM
