Christopher was born August 25, 1982 to Mary and Mark Bayne. He lived his first several years of life in Lawnside, New Jersey. In 1985, his twin siblings, Jeffrey and Donna were born. After moving from Lawnside, he resided in Erial, New Jersey and then in Stratford, New Jersey.

On July 30, 2001, at age 18, Christopher enlisted in the Army. He became Airborne qualified and spent his first eight years at Fort Bragg, North Carolina in Headquarters Company Support, 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (HSC, 3bn, 7th Group). While there, he served nine deployments: five to Columbia, one to Chile, and three to Afghanistan.

On May 2, 2009 he married his wife, Jennifer. Shortly after, he was reassigned to the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO) and stationed in Arlington, Virginia. Just over 10 months later, Christopher’s daughter Laura Hope was born. A year later, in 2011, he made his current rank of Sergeant First Class (SFC).

In July of 2012 Christopher was reassigned to 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division (HHC 2nd BCT, 82nd Airborne) in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He leaves this position after two years and two months.

Among the more than twenty awards given to Christopher in his over 13 years of Active Duty Service are two Bronze Stars, a Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and a Meritorious Service Medal.

His last day of active duty is December 5, 2014 and then he will move on to the Army Reserves in the 77th Sustainment Brigade at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.
