Please come out to welcome home Specialist Ian Alden from his deployment in Iraq.
Specialist Alden is 25 years old and is a Weapons Specialist with the 3rd ACR, Ft. Hood Texas.
He joined the Army in September of 2007.
He is a graduate of Pemberton High School in 2005 and attended West Virginia University for 2 years, studying Pre Med as his Major.
After 2 years of college, he came home and told his parents he wanted to join the Army which was a dream of his he had since he was a very young man.
He did his basic training at Ft. Leonardwood, Mo.
He was deployed to Korea in June 2008 to August 2009 with the HHF 41st Signal Battalion at Camp Red Cloud.
He then was sent to Ft. Hood to be trained in convoy security operations as a gunner and driver.
Specialist Alden volunteered for deployment to Kaslu Iraq, Operation New Dawn /Iraqi Freedom on June 20, 2010.
He was injured in an explosion on May 17, 2011 and he was medic-vac’d out of Baghdad, then to Germany due to multiple concussions.
Ian wishes to finish his education after returning home.
Ian enjoys Boxing, Weight Lifting, NY Yankees, watching NFL Football and West Virginia University Football and Basketball.
Specialist Alden is being medically discharged from the Army with PTSD and TBI.
Our Hero has been in the WTU at Ft. Hood Texas for the past year, 70% disabled.
He is also being processed to receive a Purple Heart.

Friends, Family, The Warriors Watch, Operation Yellow Ribbon of South Jersey, The New Jersey State Police, The Pemberton Township Police Department, The Country Lakes Fire Department, Pemberton Township and others will be on hand to make some noise and welcome home this Hero in Rock Star style.
